At last, another installment, huzzah! You'd think after all my talk about trying to be more efficent in my writing, I'd be getting these out more frequently, right? :( Still, hope you all enjoyed, despite the wait. As tough as this chapter was to write, I did have fun with it, as like Morrigan and Flemeth, Shale is one of those characters with such a distinctive voice and tone that she really writes herself. And yes, the Sagramor/Leliana pairing is definitely going to pick up as time progresses as well :)

In addition to this chapter, I've also been working on a few short stories, including one for the current Collaboration Contest being run by :iconthe-bards-college:, so I'm going to try and get something else out for you guys by my birthday on the 15th. As ever, appreciate your support and patience, and let me know what you think!

First Chapter: A Day for Celebration - The Grey Path - Chapter One: A Day for Celebration

Previous Chapter: Fadewalker - The Grey Path - Chapter Twenty-Three

Next Chapter: Truth and Reconciliation, Part One - The Grey Path - Chapter Twenty-Five, Part One

As always I really enjoy how you let all the members of Sagramor's little party have their moments. Nobody is inferior, they all contribute in their own way. It's rare since many writers of fan fiction falls prey to their own likes and dislikes of different characters and it ends up colouring their writing. Personally I have always been of the opinions that you have to love all your characters, even the bad ones.

Your description of the 'guardian' was particularly good and really captured the true horror of it. It was a nice touch to separate the party in the cellars and let the action of the group fighting the guardian, cover the relatively boring puzzle solving. Puzzle solving might be fine in a game but in a story...

I'm looking forward to Sagramor's no doubt wonderfully awkward wooing of Leliana and I'm also looking forward to see what other possible constellations will develop within the group; friendships, romances, whatever.
