One of those weeks...

Being having a very rough time this past week, and I really, really hope it's not a harbinger of 2014 overall. Without getting into too many details, we had a small fire at our house that is going to force us to rebuild our kitchen. Fortunately, no one was hurt, the rest of the house wasn't affected, and we do have some friends and resources to call upon to help us, but it's a tremendous pain and source of stress regardless. Combine that with some other family-related issues, and you can see how I'm not a very happy boy these days.

In short, there unfortunately might be some delays with new stories and chapters. Working as hard as I can with this monkey on my back, I'm just hoping that the situation doesn't get any worse (or that I jinx myself for saying that!) Was planning on doing a journal post about some of the movies I saw last year, but I just don't have the energy for it after all that's gone on lately. Here's hoping next week is better, and the kitchen is restored to functionality soon.
