If I can paraphrase George R.R. Martin for a moment, if the last chapter was a bitch, this one was three bitches and a bastard. Not going to lie, this one kinda got away from me (as you can probably tell by the fact that it's in two parts), though the ongoing renovation drama over at my house certainly hasn't helped matters. The scene in which Bethany's magical abilities are revealed was probably the toughest to write; I wanted to have her as an active combatant, but I struggled for a while to find a way in which she could reveal herself as an apostate without it seeming contrived. Healing a badly-injured sibling in the heat of the moment seemed like the best solution, but let me know what you all think.

Just like with the Ostagar chapters, I also wanted to have Sagramor touch on all these side quests without laboriously going through them one-by-one, this chapter is long enough without dealing with every little fetch quests that comes up. Still, hope you all enjoy it. Part Two should be up in the next little while, so let me know what you think!

Had the same difficulty trying to decide how much writing to devote to all the side quests. I do like your addition of the Hawkes. :D
